  • Pneumatic Hoses
  • Full range of flexible and multi-spiral hoses
  • A complete range of inserts and fittings

This coupled with our state of the art equipment and highly skilled engineers gives us the ability to retrofit or replace simply by matching your sample and fabricating the hose you need.

Need it in a hurry?

  • Hoses made while you wait – bring it to our trade counter and your replacement will be ready to take back with you
  • Send us a sample or a drawing and we will make a new one and ship it back to you immediately
  • All hoses can be made on site or in our fully equipped workshop depending on your needs

Call us now and find out how quickly you can have your hose back in production?

How You Can Make Your Hoses Last Longer

Industrial hydraulic and pneumatic hose won’t last forever, however following a few simple points will extend the life of your hose quite considerably.

Careful maintenance and regular inspection will highlight problems before a complete hose failure occurs. Hoses can then be replaced in a controlled and cost-effective fashion.
You will find it far cheaper to replace hoses before a hose failure.
Preventing a hose failure will be save you so much time, money and effort, as hose failure often includes all sorts of other costs.
These costs could include:

  • Clean up operations and potential threats to the environment
  • Replacement of oil and disposal of spilt oil
  • Damage to other components due to lack of oil in the system
  • Fire Risk
  • Downtime and loss of revenue

Hoses will need to be replaced for a number of reasons and should be inspected regularly for external damage caused by pulling, kinking, crushing or abrasion of the hose. Abrasion caused by hoses rubbing against each other or surrounding surfaces is the most common type of damage. This is easily resolved by simply fitting pipe clamp or covering with anti wear cover.

To prevent external damage, ensure all clamps are kept secure, pay careful attention to routing whenever a replacement hose is installed and if necessary, apply inexpensive polyethylene spiral wrap to protect hydraulic hoses from abrasion.

Correct hose installation can also extend the life of your hoses. A twist of five degrees can reduce the service life of a high-pressure hydraulic hose by as much as 70% and a seven-degree twist can result in a 90% reduction in service life. Pay particular attention to hose assembly and routing, and also ensure adequate clamping where the hose is subjected to machine or actuator movement.

Operating conditions will also help determine the lifespan of a hose - extremes in temperature, e.g. high operating temperatures or very cold conditions when the machine is idle, will increase the ageing process of the hoses. There are different hoses for every application – just ask.

Frequent and extreme pressure fluctuations - rock hammer on a hydraulic excavator, will also accelerate hose fatigue.
Follow this advice and your hoses should last a lot longer, but when they do need replacing we will do it for you, and get your system back to work as quickly as possible.

Call us if you need replacement hoses or any hose-related advice.
